Second Yangon Gateway Airport Coming

Yangon's second aviation gateway the Hanthawaddy International Airport looks set to finally start work this year.
Located 80 kilometers outside the city in the Bago Region completion is expected in 2016.
Media reports have said that a new urban development plan also provides for a new hotel zone.
At the same time the government is in the process of the redevelopment of the existing Yangon Airport in Myanmar which would increase capacity to 5.5 million passengers a year.
