SHRINKING PROPERTY MARKET Enter Micro Houses

Category: Real estate, Posted:14 Nov 2010 | 06:00 am

I have to admit eveytime I visit Starbucks and ask for a 'small' latte, I always get one of those branded names that encourage me to be up sold.
As the global property market is shrinking enter the age of the micro house.
No these are not oversized dollhouses but livable places that are booming in places like Japan.
Sure if sounds a bit like IKEA in Wonderland but living small is becoming a mantra of the financially challenged yet those wanting just a small piece of property to call home.
While Phuket has seen a surge in UltraVillas I'm not sure about the prospects of Microvillas just yet. Though lets the dollar and Euro continue to submerge and perhaps an entirely new market may be on the horizon.
