For hotel owners the idea of owning a Maldives property remain an object of desire given the sky high average room rates and capture of guest spending.
In a recent transaction the Jumeirah Dhevanafushi traded to the Singapore-based CDL Hospitality Trusts REIT.
The same investor purchased the Angsana Velavaru in early 2013.
A purchase price of USD59.6 million has been announced for the hotel which features 19 beach villas and 16 over-water villas.
Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels brokered the sale.
