A few months ago we ran a story about the successful social travel site couchsurfing.com.
This in a nutshell comes down to private individuals offering low cost rentals of couches, extra rooms, and entire homes, apartments and condos though an online community.
Since that piece run, we've managed to uncover a number of other resources which includes iStopOver.com, Roomorama.com and airbnb.com.
Taking a swing though the latter site came up with 31 properties in Phuket so marketing people take note.
