A legal action in Singapore has allowed the Australian StayWell group to retain use of the hotel name Park Regis in the city state.
Global hotel chain Starwood had filed an action claiming it was similar to the St Regis luxury brand.
Over the years Singapore has seen other significant trade name infringement cases, with one for highest profile cases being CDL losing the right to use its in-house brand Millennium due to a similarity to the Millennia moniker.
