Starwood To Manage Former Six Senses Sanctuary

Category: Hotels, Posted:01 Aug 2011 | 09:15 am

Global hospitality giant Starwood has signed the 67 villa luxury resort which was formerly the Six Senses Sanctuary on Naka Yai Island.
The property will fall under the chains Luxury Collection which previous operated the Sheraton Laguna Grande Phuket.
Owned by Thailand's Erawan Group, the wellness concept of the island failed to commend market share in the upscale resort marketplace.
As of today the hotel has been closed for upgrading and will reopen on November 1st.
The move of operators is expected to see a broadening of appeal and more mainstream offering.
Industry sources say Starwood is also close to a new deal in Samui with an announcement expected shortly.
