Summer in Phuket Launch Moved to Thursday April 30th

After being derailed by last weeks blockade of the Surin Beach Highway, the hotel destination marketing initiative by a group of local hoteliers and businessmen has been rescheduled for Thursday April 30th. Set to be held at The Chedi from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, a theme of Phuket canceling low season, instead focusing on summer season and launch of the strategic www.summerinphuket.com website will be on offer. It's good to see some proactive thinking at time when the islands tourism and property industries are being battered by negative political and economic events. Kudos to those getting off their backsides and actually doing something about it.
