Taksin Family Moves Into Hotels
Luxury brand Rosewood has inked a deal for a new 146 room hotel in the prime business and shopping district of Ploenchit in Bangkok.
The property is being developed by Thai investment firm RENDE which is headed up by Pintongta Shinawatra Kunakornwong.
Leading global design firm KPF (Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates) has been engaged as lead architects.
Set to open in 2017, the hotel will feature a Sky Villa event venue.
Rosewood who are developing a large destination hotel and villa project in Phuket with their own affiliate funding the investment have signed a number of third party management deals recently in Bali, Jakarta and this week opened a new London property.
Along with Rosewood, the hospitalty group is looking to expand their upscale New World and midscale Pentahotels brand stables.
In addition to the Bangkok hotel RENDE are in the midst of a second hotel in the pipeline in Khao Yai which presently is not branded to an international chain.
