Thailand Tourism Forum 2014 Postponed
We regret to inform participants in the upcoming Thailand Tourism Forum (TTF) 2104 event scheduled for Friday January 24th at the InterContinental Bangkok that the event has been postponed.
Given the violent incidents over the past few days in the nation's capital and ongoing political crisis, the event organizers have prioritized the safety of those who would attend the Forum. Over the past few weeks as events have unfolded in Bangkok, the increasing importance of supporting Thailand's hospitality and tourism sector's by pushing through with TTF has been of the utmost importance. Clearly the current situation no longer makes this possible.
The daily impact on Bangkok's hotels, service sector and ripple effects across the entire country's tourism industry are sadly continuing to mount, as is the profound financial loss to hospitality employees, hotel owners and those who depend on Brand Thailand for their livelihoods.
Despite today's setback, we clearly understand the country's ability to resoundingly rebound when facing a downturn and remain committed to proactively participating in support of Thailand's tourism industry.
As soon as practically possible our intention is to reschedule the event in the near future and create a unique and relevant voice and forum for the nation's hospitality stakeholders.
We look forward to seeing you again soon at the Thailand Tourism Forum 2014.
