Thailand's Elite, It Just Won't Die

Thailand's controversial Elite card continues to hang on life support from the government.
Initiated during the tenture of Thaksin Shinawatra, there have been numerous starts and stops over recent years, with the program facing insolvency.
According to the Bangkok Post, the Tourism and Sports Ministry has been tasked to come up with a business plan for the program.
Additionally a new management structrure and infuson of cash into the beleagured program. Losses to date have mounted up over THB1 billion to date.
