The Russians Are Coming (Or Are They?)

Press reports are rife with news that Russian tourism to the Kingdom is in decline.
While year-on-year growth has occurred up to the middle part of 2014, there appears to be a sharp impact as a result of the crisis in the Ukraine.
It appears the economic sanctions against Russia by the West are creating economic gyrations and that the forecast for the remainder of the year is for greatly reduced traffic.
Two key resort markets especially susceptible to Russian visitor volatility are Phuket and Pattaya.
