The Ultimate List of 2020’s Virtual Hospitality Events

Category: Tourism, Posted:26 Dec 2020 | 10:51 am

We’d like to take an opportunity to wish you Happy Holiday’s from the virtual event/webinar team at C9 Hotelworks and Delivering Asia Communications with a special video – A Phuket Christmas Greeting:

YouTube video

Looking back at 2020, who knew the vaccine would take this long and borders would still be mostly closed? Over the span of eight months, we managed to deliver 25 hospitality-focus webinars that have covered some of the most relevant issues facing our industry. We are especially proud of our groundbreaking women in hotels session, sustainability themes, and most importantly giving our industry colleagues a chance to think, learn and perhaps get out of the box in these troubling times.

What’s important is that these virtual events have given smaller enterprises an opportunity to reach a wider audience, given many talented professionals a voice and a chance to rethink the way we do things in the brave and harsh new world. Kudos and thanks to all our speakers and experts from Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East, Australia, and back here in Asia. You have been bold, brave, and awesome.

Certainly, the road has not been easy, tech glitches, communications issues and yes, the one event we had to cancel entirely when the system went down. But no journey is without troubles and perils and where this leads us next is somewhere we have never been – 2021.

Are we all zoomed-out you might ask? No way, we will return in January to continue our unyielding support with passion, energy, and engagement for the greatest industry in the world – hotels (and travel). These turbulent times will also pass but the chance to learn, innovate, and positively change our businesses going forward is a key focus of our content, to join hands together and plunge head-on into the unknown. We look forward to having you with us again next year but for now, here are our 25 events from 2020 and a chance to rewatch them or perhaps catch the ones you missed.

Thank you for being with us in these strange, wild, and volatile times, and yes, life moves forward.
-Bill Barnett and the C9 Hotelworks and Delivering Asia team with David Johnson and Sumi Soorian
