Tropical Storm Pabuk Impacting Southern Thailand

Thailand’s response to the impending tropical storm Pabuk is widespread.

In Phuket, the governor has issued a notice that tourist boats will not be allowed to leave shore from 6 am today (Friday January 4th) until tomorrow January 5that noon.

While in Koh Samui, Bangkok Airways has suspended flights for today only.

Travelers on the tourist island of Koh Phi Phi have been forced to stay, as ferry services are cancelled.

It’s expected that flight disruptions and boat services will return to normal at some point tomorrow and by Sunday the storm will have passed the areas mentioned above and Phuket high-season will resume as usual.
