In an increasingly urbanized lifestyle farming in high-rise skyscrapers is setting to become a reality.
A leading proponent of the movement is Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut who has designed a projected called Dragonfly in New York City.
Using a sustainable platform both sun and wind sources will be used to tap energy, and vertical farming areas will be located within the superstructure.
While the development remains in the conceptual stage, Callebaut is reportedly trying to sell the idea of a farmscraper in China.
