For nearby Vietnam a redirect of travelers to other Asian destinations helped boost the country to hit 2.5 million overseas visitors in H1 2010.
While the total numbers still pale in comparison to Thailand, the upswing and full scale push of both domestic and foreign investment into the hospitality sector show a ramp up this will aid long term growth dynamics.
