Waterless Songkran For Singapore

Passing through Singapore today I can't help but notice media reports about the controversial Songkran fest planned for the Lion City.
In the latest installment, the event will push through but all water activities will be cancelled given a national water conservation policy.
So what's left? A two-day music festival, family carnival and Muay Thai tournament.
So much for the recent furor over Singapore hijacking a traditional Thai event.
For those in Bangkok clearly there are bigger issues at hand than getting a little wet.
