Will Bangkok Airways Create A Budget Carrier?
Asia's airspace is continuing to create a rapture of economic and commercial activity.
Recently Bangkok Airways has made public comments by its President Puttipong Prasarttong-osoth about the carrier studying the possibility of creating a low-cost airline (LCC).
Market sentiment is riding high over the upcoming AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) initiative set for 2015 and Bangkok Airways has voiced concerns over a possible loss of trading share if it stays on the sidelines in the growth segment.
The airline is continuing to work toward an IPO early next year. While another Thai carrier Nok Air is reportedly looking make a public offering in the second part of 2013.
