Speaking to Des Pugson who is Vice President of Operations for the Wyndham group, they currently have two General Manager posts available in Thailand.
Wyndham Hotel Group is one of the world's largest hospitality companies, representing 7,000 franchise and management hotels worldwide and in Asia-Pacific, rapidly growing our management contract business. The General Manager positions detailed below in the brands of either Wyndham (5 star) or Ramada (4 star).
The new Wyndham Hotel in Phuket (Pantipa, Patong), Thailand.
Specs: 133 rooms, 3 outlets, 150 m2 Meeting space (target "retreat" type meetings), SPA, Fitness Centre, etc. A villa hill resort overlooking the sea.

– Age 36 – 45

– Existing GM experience (5 star),

– Pre-opening experience

– Resort experience

– Thailand experience

– Outgoing personality.

– High energy individual

– Outdoor type, into Total Fitness.

– Resort creative.

– Hands on, lead-from-the-front type of person

The new Ramada Encore Hotel, opening early 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Specs: 188 rooms, 1 outlet, 150 m2 meeting space, Fitness Centre, etc. First prototype of the Encore brand tier in Asia.

– Age 36 – 45.

– 2 years+ GM experience, (4 star minimum) – could consider someone who is currently RM of a large 4 – 5 star hotel.

– Thailand experience, Bangkok preferred

– Pre-opening experience

– Highly creative.

– Outgoing personality.

– Stylish individual (Encore has an element of hip about it)

– Able to imbue the personality of the brand in his everyday being.

– Motivate same into the total workforce
